Cherry Plum Bush - Sapalta

Hardiness: Zone 2.

Size: Bush up to 8 ft.

Planting: Full Sun, good soil. 

Fruit: Dark reddish - purple, 3 cm in size. 

Pollination: Requires alternate variety (any)

Use: Good for fresh eating, canning and jams.

Ripening: Late August

Current Size: Bare root - 4-6ft.

An improved seedling of Sapa, from Alberta (which is where the name comes from), Dark purple flesh is sweet, juicy and nearly freestone. Considered one of the best cherry-plums for fresh eating.
