Hardiness: Zone 2.

Size: Shrub up to 12 ft.

Planting: Extremely tolerant, Full sun to full shade, can tolerate dry or moist conditions. 

Fruit: Clusters of small white berries. 

Pollination: Self pollinating.

Use: Edible, but very bitter and generally not consumed. 

Ripening: Late fall. 

Pot: Bare rooted with soil ball, harvested on demand from forest. 

These are native red dogwoods found within our northern Ontario forest. They have small white berries that are edible but generally not consumed, The red twigs have attractive ornamental qualities over winter.
