Hardiness: Zone 2.

Size: Bush 6ft. 

Planting: Tolerate of shade and poor (including wet) conditions. 

Fruit: Black berry clusters, approximately 1 cm. 

Pollination: Self pollinating

Use: Excellent for juices, jams, baking and smoothies 

Ripening: September, and berries will remain over winter. 

Pot: 2 gal

Tart and very astringent with strong tannin flavour. A "superfruit" with high levels of vitamins and anti-oxidants. Also very ornamental with showy white spring flowers and brilliant red foliage in the fall.
