Hardiness: Zone 2.

Size: Tree up to 10 ft.

Planting: Full sun, tolerate of poor soils, including alkaline and saline soils, drought tolerant. An excellent companion, able to fix nitrogen to the soil. 

Fruit: Deep red fruit, 0.5-1 cm in size. 

Pollination: Self fertile.

Use: Good for jellies. 

Ripening: Mid to late September.

Pot: 2 gal. 

Thorny silver bark with an irregular branching habit. Tart fruit that will sweeten if picked after a frost.
